This song is even tougher to ID because I have less information for everyone. It isn't new Wave because it may be a release of the 90's.

All I recall about it is a lyric about a "red-haired girl",perhaps something about blasting a song from a car.the cover of the bands cd (well tape) had Aztec-ish animals on it,perhaps the band had the word 'animal" in their name...like Baby Animals or something.

Any ideas at all? Thanks to you all!

There was a band from Australia named Baby Animals they had a video and single for the song" Painless". I am not sure of the lyrics but it's a female singer with a bluesy voice

It was a male singer...guess I should have mentioned that;)!I DID check into the Baby Animals though, because it sounded like a familiar band name (even beofre reading your post) but no dice.Odd though, their lead singer married Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme)...strange....
