the only words I can remember:
"...the ring of ice..." and "...this is an emergency..." or similar

I can't remember the sound but I know the people danced also to
informatics - accidents in paradise [}:)]

Longshot guess: Midnight Star's "Operator"--at least the "this is an emergency" line fits..and it's certainly disco-esque...?

Were those par-lyrics definitely "the ring of ice"?
