Please help me ID! New Wave, Female singer...

I was at a big 80s party this weekend and I heard a song where the chorus sounded like (I'm really not sure if these are the words, but it sounded a whole lot like this)

"Eeeeeeeevery night! funky-funky-funkay"

The chorus was kinda yelled out, not really sung- and it was a female singer.

it was pretty upbeat and easy to dance to, sounded like a new wave song... does anyone have any ideas? Even the wildest guesses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for the help!

Thats not it, but thanks for the help. It was definitely a song from the early 80s if not very late 70s... but it wasnt disco. Any other guesses? Thanks for the help!
