I heard this on a KROQ radio check i have. it's a good tune, but who made it?

The most notable lyric is the one in the subject.

You might be looking for "Stick To The Grind" by King Cotton. Island/1982. The lyric is "lubricate so I can operate", and I don't think he meant 'operate' in the clinical sense. [:I]

Loosen up your lovin' cup!

Uncanny timing. I just found this single at the Salvation Army yesterday. The B-side is called "Beyond Uranus" -- but it's just a dub mix of the A-side.

My copy isn't on Island, it's on Crudite.

British: Is this your song?

SomebodySomewhere: You are a brave man to reveal knowledge and ownership of such trashy music. Nice job!

Yes, the song puts the "Crud" in "Crudite" alright. But writer/producer Danny Holloway is proud enough to put it on his myspace site, so the least I can do is mention I bought it.

I mean, I only paid 50 cents for it. It ain't like I made it or anything.

That has to be the song. Did you link to an .mp3? I'm not seeing anything for hyperlinks, just underlined words.

Other actual lyrics: "I've got news for you. I've got juice for you."

Mind you, the way it's sung, it sounds like, "I've got news for you. I've got jews for you." And I'm, like, great! What kind? Hasidic?

Sorry to not come with it sooner, British. I know you're big on slsk, so I figured you'd snap it up before I had a chance to post it anyway [:)]

Thanks man. Now I can turn off this heavy metal shoutcast station that has such a short playlist I've heard things twice/day.
