Feel My Heart Beat

Feel My Heart Beat

Postby birdmadgirl » Tue Jun 27, 2006 11:58 am

I caught the tail end of some song yesterday and the only lyrics I picked up were "Feel my heart beat, feel my heart beat" followed by, I think, "I can feel it."

Any ideas what song this is?

Not sure if this is right--this reminded me of an 80s song which I just looked up--Heartbeat by King Crimson. "I need to feel your heartbeat, so close it feels like mine," etc. (Seems like I remember it getting some play on KYYX, but my memory is pretty vague.)

Thanks, Hex, but that's not it. The "feel my heart beat" part sounded like a female and the "I can feel it" part sounded like a male.

I think I figured it out. I think it's Tom Tom Club's "Sunshine and Ecstasy." Now I gotta find the mp3 to make sure.

Sounds like "Heartbeat" by Ryuichi Sakamoto from his Beauty CD sung by David Sylvian.

Many thanks! I think the song is catchy, yet almost irritating.

Was that the right mix? I might have a different one on the other computer -- I'll check if you want.

Admittedly, I didn't really like anything off "Dark Sneak Love Action." I liked plenty of tracks of their first three albums.

I'm not sure. I just caught the very end the first time I heard it. The only thing I have noticed between what I heard and what you posted is the "I can feel it" at the very end. If you have another version and don't mind posting it, I'd like to hear it.

What are some good songs off the first three albums? I might have to go hunt them down...

These were my favorites. Your mileage may vary.

Tom Tom Club - "Genius of Love," "Wordy Rappinghood," "On, On, On, On..." and "Under the Boardwalk" (the latter cover is a bonus track on the CD)

Close to the Bone - "The Man with the 4-Way Hips" and "Pleasure of Love"

Boom Boom Chi Boom Boom - "Call of the Wild," "Suboceana" and "Little Eva"

All of their albums are loaded with filler, so a greatest hits -- if one were to ever come out -- would certainly be welcome.

actually i think this might be annie, 'heartbeat.' it sounds very 80s (she even samples madonna on her album), but i think that's the song you want.
