Three Whole Words

And the three words of lyrics I remember from a song I heard circa 1987 are: "of trickle down"

I remember it was power pop and the song Starry Eyes from The Records was part of the same set.

It's a shot in the dark, no doubt. I appreciate any suggestions, guesses, conjectures, etc.

Tragically Hip had a song called Trickle Down with the line:

Belly up, all the drinks are on the crown
It's just a matter of trickle down

Not sure what year its from.
