Charity?

Charity?

Postby Cornplanter » Sat Jul 01, 2006 2:57 pm

I need help ID a song and artist. I believe the song is named Charity. It came out in the early to mid 1980's. The lyrics go something like this:

(Positive about these lyrics)
All my friends think that I'm a total wreck
I'm in love with a nymphomaniac
All day long
I can't keep her off of her back

(Less sure about these)
She's my only lover
Baby, I don't need another
I'm just doing fine
All my friends say to me
Stay away from Charity
But I'll just go on blind

I had it on a mixed tape which also had "Backyard" from Miracle Legion and "Dead Eyes" from Guadalcanal Diary if that helps date it.

Thanks

I am terrible at lyrical identifications, but I think this was a Massachusetts band by the name of The Sighs. Let me check around and find out for sure.

motors comes better prepared than I. Big props!

That song played on Boston radio in, maybe, late '84/early '85. It's on CD, too. Who knew?

Another one of their tracks (which I don't remember from just name alone) is on the same volume.
