Thanks sins tailor for the tip.....just went and sampled all of her stuff on allmusic,but it was not there. [:(]

Thanks glokstadt for taking the time to listen..it is a good song. I've been listening to it for over 20 yrs,it would be good to know the name of the song and artist.[:)]

20 years is a looong time! [:0] How did you aquire the song? Source? What year exactly? Etc. Maybe more info and clues will help us identify the artist. [:D]

I recorded the song on cassette from an alternative radio station in Sydney called Tripple J, known as the J's. The exact year was 1982.
That's about all the light I can shead on this one.

argh! I've listened to it a bunch of times, and boy does it sound familiar. Def. not Lene Lovich, though. Can't figure it out. We'll keep trying.

How about Nina Hagen? It's a little tame for her, but the timing of the release and the voice is not far off.
