I loved that G.E. SMith album.....
He was married to Gilda Radner at the time it came out. I saw G.E. open for Squeeze on their East Side Story tour and Gilda and SNL member Lorraine Newman were in the front row (I was in the pit). They were cool to talk to....
Anyway, the G.E. album is VERY pop/Power Pop/New Wave guitar rock. He was a member of Hall And Oates's main band around that time, too.
Then he started leading the SNL band in the late '80s and '90s and never went back to pop again!
