Greetings,
I have this 80's snippet stuck in my head and I can't place it. Usually, I'm pretty good about these things, but I'm stumped.
Any of this sound familiar?
In the middle of the song "You!" Do, do, doooo. Then the Bass Line," Doon, doon, doodoodoo, doon, doon, doodoodoo" as the guitar riff goes sorta fast "bamp, bamp, buga buga, buga buga buga, buga buga, buga buga buga."
Do I have any hope?
Thanks a ton

Delta 5 have a song called "You" which has a prominent bass line in it. Is the singer female?

No, the voice is male, somewhat deep. I'm thinking similar to Joy Division, Peter Murphy but I don't think it's either of them.

Maybe it's "Hearts and Minds" by Nitzer Ebb.

Thanks for the replies but I think the song is not so esoteric, nor is it Trio's "Da, Da, Da" either.
I'm a KROQ kid from the Richard Blade and Poorman days, but this is one I am flummoxed on.
I searched at the same time for another song and found it was Tones On Tail's "GO!"
So think more mainstream, even if mainstream is Bauhaus, Warren Zevon, etc.
The male voice is deep and it is tripping me out that no one else finds the bass line familiar with the 3 bar, " Doo, Doo, Dooon".
Thanks for all the help.
