Listening to a found reel to reel tape of wave tunes recorded from a freind's albums back in '82 came accross some great tunes but cannot identify titles or bands. [?]
a) Chorus contains "We stand in a different light that's cast upon, This Gigolo and Gigolette... But when we talk we talk in time". (Possibly Ultarvox?) Title?
b)Chorus Contains the words "Love Song" four times. Song contains words "heart of steel...stand below...(not love song by the cure).
Question: Could David Bowie be considered wave? Fasion and China Girl sound wave but his earlier stuff was more pop 70's.[8D]

A: Ultravox - We Stand Alone

B: I think it's Public Image Limited - This Is Not A Love Song
I could be dead wrong about 'B'....

Sure I consider David Bowie new wave to a degree. But he's such a talented artist he can be in any genre.[;)]

Thank you to CADMAN68 and REWIND for your replies. I'll give that a "look see". I had a feeling that A) was Ultravox, as it has that Ultravox sound. Tape also has "The Voice" another excellent tune from "Rage in Eden" I believe. Ultraxov is great "All Stood Still" and "Sleepwalk" excellent.
Question: Are you CADMAN68 because you have a 68 Caddilac? I like the full size classic GM rear drive cars. I drive an 82 Olds Delta 88, a solid survivor.

Thank you to REWIND. The B) song I was looking for is Simple Minds - Love Song. Mangaged to D/L.

Thank you CadMan68 It is Ultravox - We Stand Alone. Googled and it's on "Rage In Eden" Confirmed by sound clip. Can't find to D/L but CD is available so will buy. Thanks again both for the tips. WC[:)]
