They did the ra! ra! ra!...
On a side note, I heard another contemporary punky sounding song yesterday on the radio that I would like to I.D. as well. The lyrics repeated "play the tunes (or tune?), play the tunes on the radio". And no, it wasn't that Moby song from a few years ago.
