[EDIT 2009/08/24] lyrics fixes

This is getting a hilarious one; not from the way it sounds, but from the way I understand the lyrics!

Very moderately, 92-98 bpm

The "So many questions" part is sung in a very Bee-Gees like falsetto ...

What could this be?
I also have a sample, but for copyright reasons I only prefer to do this if it's not possible to find the piece via the lyrics.

I think it's Rodway's "Don't Knock It Til You Try It" (off whatever album had the hit "Don't Stop Trying") but get a second opinion first.

You're welcome. That's why you should always post mp3 samples if you got them. Certainly, nobody was ever going to correctly ID that one from "The Look of Chevy Chase." (lol)

The album is called "Horizontal Hold" (Millennium/RCA, 1983) by the way. Not that I have my copy handy at the moment.

Well, to tell the truth the most intriguing problem was the way he pronounces "...try it". Phonetically, it sounded like "chay-yt" or as I wrote, "chase" to me. I eat my hat if this is not due to him hardly opening his mouth when singing. Because if I keep my mouth almost shut when singing this, it sounds the same! (just gave it a try for the heck
of it)

That aside, the song could also have been found by identifying it via the REST of the lyrics, couldn't it!? If someone really knows the song, he would not be required to rely on a chorus correctly spelled (IMHO)

Yep, Steve Rodway's enunciation is something else. He makes Joey Ramone sound like Karen Carpenter.

I think the first line in the second verse is "Walking on a knife's edge," but I can't really tell. I don't recall the LP coming with a lyric sheet. I have vague memories of trying to figure out the lyrics to "I Am Electric" while listening to the record years ago.
