What is this Mysterious Song? Baffled For Years

I was giving this unknown early-mid 80's new wave song years ago and I think
it's fantastic. The trouble is..that I have no idea who this
is...neither does the person who gave it to me. The quality of the MP3 is very bad and I can barely make out
the words. It's very early 80's Depeche Mode/Dead or Alive-ish so
I'd date the song between 1982-1985 though I could be wrong.

If you don't want to listen to the song here is part of the lyrics
as best as I can decipher them:

I know it sounds odd but I just love this song but I haven't a clue
who sings it. I might be way off in the lyrics because it's hard to
decipher...so I was hoping you could help. Maybe you've heard this
song.

I'm amazed at how often I see this song in a "mystery/unknown" column.

Story Structure released this song in '88. They were a Canadian band and this was their only release. Finding a copy of the vinyl will be next to impossible, as only about 200 were
