I taped this one off a college rock station in 87(?) and have since Googled the lyrics every which way with no success. Phrases are:

"new grey day"
"there are no streets of gold"
"action goes without mention, thinking without passion"
"sound without the voice. we could not decide the meaning of desire."
"look what it's done to us; it's a grey day outside."

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I should also mention that this song would fit with new order, joy division, or ultravox on mixed tape. Male singer, kind of depressing, soft tones.
