This was a later 80's song ...."It doesn't matter what you say ,cause Im already on my way. look for me tomorrow an I'll be gone.Dancing with a working band, looking for a big rock candy mountain.Rollin down the highway in the sun...."

Not the answer you're looking for raserx, but "Big Rock Candy Mountain" is a great bluegrass song that dates back to the 1920's and was featured in the Grammy winning movie "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou".

So after a bit of research...

Jane Wiedlin released a song called "Big Rock Candy Mountain" on her 1990 album called "Tangled". It's also on her "Very Best of". Could this be it?

Motorcycle Boy had a song called "Big Rock Candy Mountain" circa 1987. I think that's the one.

Motorcycle Boy was an offshoot of The Shop Assitants, I believe. Their 12" of Big Rock Candy Mountain is a great record.
