Hi, I'm trying to find out who made the opening music on the BBC Oxford Road Show (early 80's). The same track was also used on Channel 4's Network 7 and I think it featured very briefly in the film "Planes Trains and Automobiles" (but uncredited as far as I know). The track starts off really atmospheric and ambient and then builds up with synths and drum machine. Could be something obscure by Thomas Dolby, Yello, Front 242, or maybe even Japan or Bauhaus.
I've been trying to find who made this track for 20 years!!

Hmmm, it might be "Modigliani (Lost In Your Eyes)" by Book Of Love. A portion of that song was used in Planes, Trains & Automobiles. It starts off slowly and then the drum machine kicks in.

Thanks for the hint. I *think* it might be a track by Yello. I was talking to one of my friends the other night about it and he thought he had it on vinyl, I'm just waiting for him to dig it out.

The track is by Yello and it is called Lost Again. It is available on several of their CDs - You gotta say yes to another excess, greatest hits and the mix in one go
