ok this is a new wave tune.........it sounds a lot like the cars...
i thought it was "the pop" the lyrics are

i got one more but i already chunked the cassette with no hope of finding it.........i thought it was "eater" or "nervous eaters"....but it's not
but it was a punk type tune......

lyrics were basically about a guy and his date.......and how he was gonna make her a chicken dinner..........

it's very vague in my mind but basically the lyrics went....

anyway there's talk of a chicken dinner...........

I'm pretty sure that this is "Match/Mismatch" by the Suicide Commandos.

ok the only song i could find that might possible be that first one ....could be by a band called the alternators..........i think the title was "no answers"

but i don't know for sure..........anyone know this song ?

i found all the others.........so now it's down to those two...........the cars sound alike...........and the chicken dinner one.........i think i had another by the chicken dinner guys talkin about how some kid needs his father.........could even be the same song...............i also think they had one where they said "she's so herky jerky"...."we're so chemical"....something about "i've been to the party i hate the party"

i'm sure these were both punk/new wave era........

I think this group was called "The Proof", the album "It's Safe". Circa 1979 or so. I've actually been looking for it for years.
