Stay Free (Sounds kinda like Born Free)

Stay Free (Sounds kinda like Born Free)

I keep hearing this newish song as Muzak at a Burlington Coat Factory store on Long Island and maybe other places.
It's a girl with a high pitch singing something like "Stay free" and "go awayyyyyy" or "come and goooo-oooo-ooo" at a slow pace.
I'm interested in who the artist is. Come to think of it.... it sounds like The Sundays a bit.
Any ideas?

I was looking at my posts since I haven't logged on to this site in months and just want everyone to know I figured out what I've been hearing! It's from the "American Pie" soundtrack! It's "Sway My Way by either Bic Runga or Liz Phair.

Anyone know why I see it credited as both Bic Runga and Liz Phair? Which one is it?

"Sway" by Bic Runga, it was a top ten hit in Australia in 1998. She's a New Zealander, Bic is pronounced Bec.
