this obscure 80's band(new wave/punk/alt?) blew my drummer and me away with this vietnam inspired song and we would spin it for hours.it's about a vietnam soldier that's either wounded or doesn't know he's dead,and all he wants to do is to see his family again.the chorus starts " I want to see,my family---my wife and child,staring at me and,i want to...."(i forget the second part of chorus) please help me rediscover this song/band,this song was special....

"Obscure"...LOL! I love that song...and New Order isn't bad either. [;)] They opened up Hammerstein earilier this year with it, literally stating "that song was about Vietnam." Here's a fun discussion from awhile back...
