Remember this? Live from the Malibu? I got a mix here with DJ Tommy Napi spinning.

I'm gonna need some help from my fellow Long Islanders (or anybody else [:)]) in identifying some of the tracks in this mix from the old days. I got most of them: Bronski Beat, Marianne Faithfull, Sugar, Bjork, Depeche Mode, New Order, East 17. But there are a few interspersed that are driving me crazy.

This is side one of my "tape" [:D] I'm gonna need some help with side two...coming up [8D]

OK, here we go with side two. Again, I got most of them: East 17, Simple Minds, Pet Shop Boys, New Order, OMD, Dr. Alban, Go West. Have fun 2nu, Abacab, MArie3 [;)] I'm thinking this is up your alley.

I thought I'd be a natural for this Marv, I was at Malibu quite a bit.(& still pass it 2x a day) But, I think this is a few years after my era. It wasn't this "Disco-ish" when I went there.

Man Marv, first a punk and now a dance mix NTT[B)]
These are gonna take a while to sift through.

What was the year that these were recorded? (definitely sounds like it was between 1993 & 1995)

It would help greatly if you could flag (min:sec location) the tracks that you DID NOT positively ID on mix 1 & 2

Also: Do I get eggroll with this? [:o)]

Dear Lord, why did they do that to these poor songs?

The Shamen's "Boss Drum" is the song being ruined in between Sugar's "Helpless" and Bjork's "Human Behavior."

Yep, Tommy was absolutely ruthless when it came to mashing together various trax in that cacophony of crossmixing FX.[B)]

Oops, sorry!

Sunscreem's "Pressure" is the one in between OMD's "Dreaming" and Dr. Alban's "It's My Life." And 2 Unlimited's "Tribal Dance" precedes "We Close Our Eyes."

It was good of Tommy to only name all the songs people are likely to be completely unfamiliar with. If it weren't for him, I'm not sure how I could have ever ID'd that Bronski Beat tune.

That's kind of you, bro, but you don't have to do that for me. Thanks to a certain someone here, I'm kind of... scarred for life with shirts. From now on, it's just muumuus and burlap sacks for me.

Got one more, and edited it in the earlier post. I'm going to send the files to a few buddies who like dance music better than I do, and see if they recognize the remaining four tracks.
