help with songs/bands identification

help with songs/bands identification

Postby plan13 » Sun Jan 15, 2006 4:25 am

I was recently cleaning some crap out of my attic, and stumbled across a cassette tape... the following mp3's are from that tape. The tape was labeled, but had different colored ink and different handwriting, which leads me to believe that the tape may have been recorded over at some point.. so that the labels may be incorrect. I think the song titles are correct, however the band names may not be since they are the questionable handwriting.

I'm positive that this tape is from the 80's, because I've lived in this house since 1990, and the tape was still in a sealed moving box.

The first 6 songs were labeled as "Porn Orchard"... I've looked over the net high and low and have actually bought 2 albums by this band... Name Your Regions and Urges And Angers. Neither of these sound remotely like the following 6 songs. I've included the song titles that were labeled on the cassette as well. Anyone have any ideas????

http://kingkongstomp.tripod.com/01.mp3 ... 1. Sledgehammer
http://kingkongstomp.tripod.com/02.mp3 ... 2. This Reflex
http://kingkongstomp.tripod.com/03.mp3 ... 3. Circles
http://kingkongstomp.tripod.com/04.mp3 ... 4. Make Yourself Ugly
http://kingkongstomp.tripod.com/05.mp3 ... 5. Blindly
http://kingkongstomp.tripod.com/06.mp3 ... 6. Barbie

The second side of the tape was labeled as a band called Water Buffalos... same situation, I've labeled the 3 songs accordingly as the tape says.

http://nasapunk.tripod.com/07.mp3 ... 7. Satan Baby
http://nasapunk.tripod.com/08.mp3 ... 8. Hard Driveway
http://nasapunk.tripod.com/09.mp3 ... 9. Prostitutes

Once again... I think the song titles are correct based on the lyrics... I just have no idea who the bands/albums are????

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
