The song has identified on CFNY.This is song called "Love Hit Me" by The Pinups.

I just gave another spin to this record yesterday, and it's a LOT better and more consistent than I remembered it being. Even the couple of lousy tracks have some interesting parts. But most of it is great AOR. Of course, if you hate AOR, this is not the album for you. For a manufactured group, I got to say, those Bunnies can sing!

Also found out through some online searches that I was wrong about this being the only album. They actually had two albums released in Europe in 1980 (self-titled) and 1981 ("Hollywood Eyes"), along with at least two singles that are MIA from the U.S. release -- "New Wave Lover"/"Money & Love" and "Wild Child"/"Do It All Night." I couldn't find track listings for the LPs, but based on the copyrights on the Columbia LP, it is probably a compilation of tracks from them.

I think i even buy this record...maybe...

I remember in the early 80's i saw The Pinups album in record stores. I didnt buy it though, However, 25 years later i have bought it. I bought a used copy off of ebay after watching the "just about a dream" video on youtube. Its not a bad album. Not a bad album at all and certainly much much better than most of the drivel put out today. Nothing groundbreaking here of course but nice pop music with ladies who can sing very well. I am surprised "song on the radio" was not a hit. And i am VERY surprised "just about a dream" was not a top five or top ten hit. I would LOVE to get this on CD format. Its a shame they made only one album.

I found this LP about two months ago at a small market here in town, I was curious on it's sound as the LP looked somewhat appealing. I found it to be quite a bore, I think I listened to the first three tracks on the A side, maybe four and found it very repetitive and put it right back in it's sleeve. Haven't touched it since. I wonder if I should give it another spin as it seems to have created an interesting hype here on NWO. I will let you all know what I think after a second listen.

Now Justine Johns LP is simply amazing! I am a big Tony Carey fan
