I heard this song back on my college's radio station in the mid 80's; one of our DJ's used it as background music for his show promo.

The only part I've been able to remember is a male singing (in typical "British" style) "Shaa, lalalala, shaa, lalalala, cause it's all fashion, it's all fashion" (fade on "it's all fashion") on top of some drum fills.

I could have sworn that the band name had "stick" or "men" in it, but that's fuzzy.

Anyone?

The "Shaa, lalalala, shaa, lalalala" part reminds me of the VH1 Classic advert for the Alternative...I know the song, probably have it somewhere, and can't for the life of me remember the title. *SIGH*

Good Luck!

[/quote]The song you mentioned from VH1 Classic's promo is James' "Born Of Frustration", I'm fairly certain, but it wouldn't fit the mid 80s timeframe as it was actually from 1992. :)
