Soft Core? Maurice & the Cliches

Soft Core? Maurice & the Cliches

Postby hexicon » Fri Jun 18, 2004 2:15 pm

Any one remember a song circa 1983, went something like this:
"Hard sell, soft core . . . . Soft core, but you're afraid to make the grade . . thin skin, paper thin, you win, fantasize you're givin' it to him . . . "??

I think it might have been Maurice and the Cliches but it doesn't sound like any of their songs listed at allmusic.com.

Thanks!

This song got plenty of air play on my favorite Seattle station back in the day. I've pretty much given up hope that it will ever end up on CD (compilation or otherwise). I had the chance to buy vinyl copy back in the late 90's but I don't own a turntab

I've got good digital copies of the album version and the long version. Of course, they are only as good as the vinyl they were pulled from. [:)] I would be more than happy to share.

Extremely 80s - I'd love copies of both versions of the song! Can you email them to me?

I've transferred this entire LP to CD-R, cleaned up the pops and clicks, and it sounds great. I've also got the long version, too.

Once again I beg- If you have this song, please email it to me: dogwelder@gmail.com.

In fact, I'll even give the first person who sends it to me a gmail invite. (gmail is google's new email service. It's still in the beta-test phase, but it offers lots

I'm lazy, and should have done this earlier. But for those interested, you may download it here for a while.
