Cupid & Pscyhe 85 and Anomie & Bonhomie out on vinyl and CD on July 30 in the UK, August 13 in the USA.

Totally unexciting bonus tracks!

Cupid & Pscyhe 85

Flesh and Blood (CD bonus track)
Absolute - Alternate 12 inch version (CD bonus track)
Wood Beez - 12 inch version (CD bonus track)
Hypnotize - 12 inch version (CD bonus track)

Anomie & Bonhomie

Nothing. Not a thing. Not even Dead Certainty.

Consider me utterly underwhelmed and disappointed.

As a day 1 fan of the band I was hoping for too much I guess... I wonder what kind of people are responsible for this new failure and what kind of "excuses" they will come up with (?!) Do they know anything about how to reissue any album at all (?!)

Disappointed (and angry) too.

Who is going to buy this, isn't this the same version that already existed?

Labels bitch about being poor but most of them are sitting on tons of money but just can't be bothered to put deluxe reissues out.

Happy and disappointed at the same time. Even though these have no real bonus material like b-sides and all the 12" remixes I'm quite confident that these are remastered. I got a response from Scritti's facebook page a few months back that all the SP albums have been remastered.

Well that might have been acceptable a decade or so ago, but I can't think of anyone who reissues 80s / 90s albums these days without bonuses. Or do all the first four albums at once, in a box/slipcase with a mop-up disc of b-sides/remixes. This is just rubbish.

Wow, talk about being tone-deaf--and flat-out lazy. These reissues have been at the top of my wish list for years, and I'm clearly I'm not the only one who's remained hopeful all this time. What's the matter with honoring the audience who's supported this band through all their inclinations & metamorphosis. I even supported the worst of Green's reggae excursions! When these reissues fail to sell as many hard copies as anticipated I hope those in charge realize that perhaps their paltry offerings were the reason why & not that there simply "wasn't a market" for them.

I was prepared to buy at least Cupid & Psyche and Provision but this is just a duplicate of USA CD release of Cupid from 1985. I'm now not expecting anything "bonus-y" about Provision either, so these are now entirely off my "will buy" list.

i don't have these albums on cd, so i will be buying them.

also, im not the biggest scritti fan, so i'm not worried about extra stuff,
i have all the singles and mixes i like already, so i can put together my own tracks.

maybe they are planning something bigger eventually, but it depends on the band,
and they don't seem to do want to emphasize their older material.

which is the mentality a lot of post-80s bands are taking lately.

I can't believe it's been 15 years since "White Bread, Black Beer!"

since they are probably going to be bargain, non-deluxe prices. they should be pretty cheap.

so they won't have any problem selling them to casual buyers. this won't make any impact on whether
they release more or not in the future.

No info on whether these are remastered or not then again Anomie & Bonhomie certainly doesn't need remastering but Cupid does. If Cupid is remastered and it sounds anything like that Absolute compilation then they keep it as it was dreadful.

The CD versions have been put back for about the fourth time, now to September. I wonder if they will actually come out of they'll be cancelled and replaced with the actual deluxe versions.

The bonus tracks are welcome, but still hoping some day for a proper deluxe re-issue with everything (or close to!) on them. One day.....
