New Graham Parker

New Graham Parker

I didn't know he was coming out with another CD so soon after his last one, but it's called "Songs of No Consequence" and it will be in stores June 7th, according to Graham Parker's web site (www.grahamparker.net). The only way I knew of this release was that the local used CD store was selling their advance copy, and I was fortunate enough to be the purchaser. 12 songs in all; the titles are:
1. Vanity Press
2. Bad Chardonnay
3. She Swallows It
4. Chloroform
5. Evil
6. Dislocated Life
7. Suck 'n' Blow
8. There's Nothing on the Radio
9. Ambivalent
10. Go Little Jimmy
11. Local Boys
12. Did Everybody Just Get Old?

The Figgs are his backing band on this one, and it is on the Bloodshot label once more. I haven't listened to it yet ("Survivor" and "The Apprentice" are getting in the way), but if it's as good as his last CD, "Your Country", we're in for a real treat!
