Certainly going to get this, but still cant figure out why we always seem to get these "inappropriate mixes" with the regular ones.....
talking bout Rapino / Tommy D......dont recall the era they were from.....could be the 90s.....but they usually appear on almost every compilation out there......

Those 90s mixes were in support of the Higher And Higher best of CD from 1993. Temptation was released as a single in 1992 and Fascist Groove Thang and Penthouse And Pavement were released as singles in 1993. Each of these included a handful of "new" remixes by the trendy remixers of the time. I personally like most of them and consider them officially part of the overall H17 experience.

A decent compilation for the price, might go for this.

Good collection for starters. Looks like the 12 inch AND 7 inch mix of I'm Your Money is included here! The 7 inch version is missed on the boxset of 2019.

Well one mix will be (hopefully) correct. The Edsel box managed to not include the 7" mixes of I'm Your Money or Are Everything, nor the right 7" version of Play To Win or the correct single version of At The Height Of The Fighting.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Shame they couldn't go a bit further and include the singles from "Bigger Than America" and "Before After". But overall it looks like a decent collection, and with any luck it'll have the correct single versions.

If I'm not mistaken those remixes also included newly-recorded vocals from Glenn Gregory and Billie Godfrey? Not really a fan of the main Rapino mixes but I love their Democratic mixes.

This CD does indeed contain the original 7" of I'm Your Money. First time on CD.

The original 7" version of I'm Your Money was included on the 1993 CD "HIGHER AND HIGHER - THE BEST OF HEAVEN 17", and on the 2006 CD/DVD "GREATEST HITS", and on the 2019 10-CD Box "PLAY TO WIN - THE VIRGIN YEARS", and on the recent 3-CD "ESSENTIAL HEAVEN 17".

I've been a bit taken aback myself. It's all so irrational... Seems like they derive joy out of this confusion. Wicked stuff even - you're always hung up and your collection is never complete. Like a form of mental torture.

This is all useful information. I've digitized by 7"/12" of "I'm your Money" and have noted the weird 7" mixes that seem to get sourced for these CD issues of the last…30 years. On one hand…annoying since a canonical collection on the format of choice is difficult to attain. On the other hand - whee! New unknown remixes! My collection just got bigger.
