Interesting. i sort of like InSoc. I ignored them in 1988 but years later came to an appreciation of them through their Madonna cover on the "Virgin Voices" tribute album on Cleopatra. I only have two of their albums, but could get more.

I was gonna hold off and see if they offer this up on CD but I listened to it on their Bandcamp site and decided to buy the lossless download. Plus, if you buy it from that site you also get the THX Spatial Audio download (for headphones) for free.

I think it's another solid album, following "_hello world" (2014) and their "Orders Of Magnitude" covers album (2016). A bit more varied in styles and a little less nostalgic on the whole, and definitely more experimental yet, undeniably InSoc.
It includes the 4 songs they released individually over last couple years... "Nothing Prevails", "World Enough", "Bennington" and "Room 1904", all of which I bought as they came out and played quite heavily, so I'm happy to see them all placed nicely and appropriately within an album context. Beyond those, two of the tracks I find myself going back to over and over are "Would You Like Me If I Played A Guitar" and probably my favorite song on the album, "Down In Flames".

Love that the production on the album is crisp and clean. For some reason lots of synthpop/electronic bands lately have been releasing albums that have less high end and muddled vocals (Pet Shop Boys and Erasure spring to mind). This album sounds amazing! I haven't tried out the THX version of it yet though.

Overall, very good stuff! If you've been a fan, especially since the original lineup returned in 2014, I think it's safe to see you will enjoy "ODDfellows".

Guys, I’ve had my CD for almost a week and it has 4 bonus tracks on it! It’s really one of the best, I can’t stop playing it. You can order the cd for $12 here

I either completely missed the CD link or it was added right after I bought the download because I did look for it! Anyway, it's a good enough album, and I want to support the release of physical releases, so I'll buy it as well esp if there are extra tracks!! Thanks!1
