I'll second Culture Club, but defend the Police. Their albums were uneven, but their best stuff is as good as anybody's. It's not their fault they got overplayed. Are they supposed to call up DJs all over the world and say, "This is Sting. Please don'

If "overrated" is somehow connected with "shoulda retired a long time ago" then I think The Cure definitely qualifies.

I would say "The Police" and "Men At Work". I hate both bands and they were VERY overrated here.
