Great stuff 'golfer'. I'm always amazed when I listen to the proto-punk and glam-rock of the early 70s and realize that these guys were blazing the path even before the Beatles broke up! That blows my mind, and in fact, all this music spanning those years

I remember reading about this guy. He was being billed as the next Bowie. I think the record company really sunk a lot of money into him. He ended up going nowhere. Bowie described him as quite a scary guy who use to show up at all his shows.

Your comment reminds me of Zaine Griff, currently on my <a href="../song_of_the_week.html">Song of the Week page</a>. He was also billed as the next Bowie at the dawn of the 80's from what I understand, but in this case Bowie actually recorded some songs
