"I Was Made for Loving You" is a disco song. It was released in '79. A lot of the big acts were releasing disco-fied songs or albums about this time, including Rod Stewart (Blondes Have More Fun), ELO (Discovery), and the Stones (Some Girls).

I just cant see it as disco. I love disco...and I do love this song, but I just cant see it as disco. Its too rock to be technically disco. I think its close to it...close enough to cash in on the disco boom back then, but I dont think the song is disco. It just has too much emphasis on the guitar.

I'll throw Cameo's "She's Strange" into the mix, but I think we were offered the one of the best examples of all time right off the bat with Alice Cooper's "Clones".

This song is awesome. I love this tune, and its on up there on my most played list...and Im so glad that you mentioned it. I hate that it completely slipped my mind. Wonderful song.

A little OT: One of my friends dated a girl who looked so much like the chick in that video that people would holler "Suzanne!" at her when she walked down the street!

I know it was mentioned before, but I second the mention of 'Go Insane' from Lindsay Buckingham. Actually, I think the whole 'Go Insane album has alot of pseudo New Wave qualities to it...
