Original Mirrors

Postby randy » Sat May 22, 2004 7:56 am

Had to do it. Give the Original Mirrors their own thread. These guys were (yes) one of my favorites-and as many times as I say that ,they really were one of my favorites. They got a decent amount of airplay up here, particularly of their first self titled LP. "Reflections" , "Panic In The Night" , "Could This Be Heaven?" and "Flying" all got quite a bit of college station play. "Darling In London" and "Dancing With the Rebels" from the 2nd LP got some , but less, airplay.

Are there any other Original Mirrors fans besides me? And..if there are , does anyone have quality sounding tracks from their 2nd lp? I have their first one complete but I am having a tough time with number 2-Heart Twango and Raw Beat.

I like the band plus Ian Broudie is great. I have a cd titled Heartbeat-The Best of the Original Mirrors. I believe it is actually there first two lps on one disc. Mercury Records put it out in 1996 in the UK. I am sure it is out of print now.

I see one of their albums all over the place but never give it any consideration. Next time I see it I'll give it a spin or 3.
