In my opinion !!!! Everyone should have the album/cd "Walking In The Shadow Of The Big Man" from 1985 in their collection by Guadalcanal Diary ! Hey,I know thats selfish to say ! I love this album, --always have-always will

I thought Guadalcanal Diary was mostly Heavy Metal, thrashing metal stuff similar to The Windbreakers metal

I was just talking to a friend of mine in Baltimore, he said Guadalcanal Diary WAS Metal! He played a little for me, granted it was throught the phone, but it sounded pretty hard rock to me.

To this day, I laugh my ass off every time I hear "Cattleprod" from their Jamboree album. Funniest song ever, nothing the Dead Milkmen ever did could touch it. I also love their song "Litany (Life Goes On)" off 2 X 4.
