Yes, I agree. I was happy that Collectibles put out a two-fer of "Computer Games" and the "Space Race" albums last year. If you have not purchased it yet, you better before it disappears!

My favorite songs are

Computer Games
Space Race
Living in September
Only Thinking

My favorite memory is being in a bar in Sydney with 100-some other people singing "Compute-pute-pute-pute-pute-pute-pute-pute Computer Games ..." followed by the Skyhooks "All My Friends Are Getting Married" and Hunters & Collectors "Throw Your Arms Around Me". Kind of the Aussie version of those American bars where they sing "American Pie" each midnight.

I recently picked up a copy of the Mi-Sex '79-'85 compilation. There's definitely some good stuff there. [:)]

Always one of my favorites-thought I would revive this to see what the new folks think.

To be pedantic, they were a New Zealand band that ended up getting their big breaks in Australia (as pretty much every NZ band tried to do in those days).

A good history:

He died in a car accident.

I knew him (Steve Gilpin}. I use to work at the Civic Hotel in Sydney. They had a regular gig there. We were always playing Space Invaders...he loved the game. Maybe that's where the inspiration for "Computer Games" came from. [:)]
