My favorites were always Mental As Anything.I was always hoping that they would have made it over here in the states as Men At Work had but it never happened.Least we forget the band Flash And The Pan,who were also from down under and had some great songs and albums.I love the music video of theirs of the song Media Man.Has anyone ever see that video? It's really funny.It shows a newscaster talking on the news,and then some muscle guy flexing his muscles,while the newscaster is talking on the tv,and his mouth going back and forth.

Would love to find a video collection of theirs somewhere.I bet there other videos are just as funny too.Has anyone ever noticed how their song Hey St. Peter sounds alot like ELO?

I was and still am a huge fan of the Angels (aka: Angel City). I first started hearing them in high school, bought the cassettes and wore them out. A couple of years ago I found them again on cd on Whammo. I bought the cd versions of everything I had in high school and college, plus everything else I could get my hands on. The Aussie/US exchange rate is extremely favorable. [:D]
I also liked a couple of songs by the Sherbs. We Ride Tonight and No Turning Back specifically.

I absolutely love this type of music and I am sharing so many of these "unknown bands" on the HUB. Can't believe someone else has heard of Electric Pandas! Besides some of the ones mentioned, I have to include Mi-Sex, Dragon, Machination, Koo Dee Tah, Uncanny X-Man, Mondo Rock, James Freud/Models/Absent Friends/Dukes, etc.

For those who want to experience 80's Aussie/Kiwi new wave/rock,
