I was living in Virginia during the early 80's and just about everyone in my town of Lynchburg was drinking Big Red Cola. It was a spin-off from Big Red chewing gum and it had a cinnamon flavor.
I think it only existed for a year or so. I remember one friend of mine bought cases of the stuff when he heard it was going to be discontinued.
Aahh..what a wondrous time! Staying up late to catch a flash of nudity on HBO's "The Hitchhiker" with a can of Big Red cola at my side.

I think it is still around, at least in Texas. Kinda reminds me of trying to catch fleeting images of the scrambled Playboy channel while kicking back with a Jolt and Jack! Ah, the decadent 80's, what a time!!!

My fav "Hitchhiker" episode was the one with Audrey & Judy Landers as the twins who share EVERYTHING!
Including the guy who romances both of them & ends up SPLIT between the two. Literally.[B)]
