Since we've had this huge discussion lately about Loverboy, I thought it would be good to scrutinize other new wave or 80's bands from Canada.

Already known for April Wine, Bryan Adams, Chilliwack, Guess Who, Rush, Saga, and many other AOR/Rock/Prog bands; Canada was also big for new wave/synthpop as well.

I am a big fan of the following bands and wonder if anyone else knows all of these bands (some are very well known)?:

The Box (this is one of my all time favorites)

I just heard some more tracks from Rational Youth. I love it. They really lay on the synth thick, only being previously exposed to "I've got a sister in the navy". Highly recommended.

Spoons were/are fantastic!
I've flown to Toronto 3 times in the last 2 years to see them in concert.

They're playing in Vancouver on August 20th with Images in Vogue.(got my tix already)[:o)][:I][8D]

they have one great Ep with a strange artwork and track on vancouver complications compilations Lp's
