Support the New Wave troops.....

I'm a new wave guy, first and foremost. I've loved it for 25 years. I can never get enough of it and I'm always on the lookout for bands that I may have missed along the way....

I know that many of us NEED to buy the latest reissued product (or new albums from our old faves), so why not support people like:

www.theidealcopy.com

Yes, I'm as guilty as anyone else here. I walk into a shop and buy things on sight, but if I was smarter, I'd check out what is available then spend my hard earned money on product from a guy who loves the stuff as much as we do. I've already told my wife that when she gets paid, I'm gonna be buying some Adam Ant remasters, the Belle Stars 2CD set and more. Now, I just have to wait another few days, but I will support www.theidealcopy.com because he has OUR best interests at heart.

Also, check out some of the websites set up by the bands themselves (if you can't find it at Ideal Copy). It's strange but there are some out there selling CD-Rs of their recorded output and some unreleased stuff, too. I know for a fact that The Stompers, the Flamin' Ohs, Will Powers, Cowboys INternational , etc., all sell stuff through their websites. I recommend that you track down some of these fine places and buy!

And if you are in love with Power Pop, old and new, try:

www.notlame.com

He's a fan first, just like Jason at Ideal Copy/Superfecta. I thank them for making it easier to buy cool shee-yot!

I placed my first order with the Ideal Copy a few days ago. I cannot wait for it. Every month, I plan to order from IC. My hat goes off to Superfecta for resurrecting and bringing us the much desired new wave that we love!!

I recently placed an Ideal Copy order for 3 CD's, including the limited edition double CD set by Dead Or Alive.
I support the troops.

I like the idea that The Ideal Copy is a centralized source of info about "new wave" releases, e.g. the different versions (US,UK, Japan) of The Cure, Morrissey etc releases. And not too much flotsam in their stock[:o)]

I wonder what a New Wave Troops flag would look like?...
Maybe black & white checkerboard pattern? [8D]
Merit badges would be nice too, but I digress...

I just got my first order from them in the mail yesterday. I am very impressed. Fast service, decent prices and selection. I use to order my import cds either from a site in the UK; or wait till I got to NYC and hunt around for them. Now I don't have

Will Powers as in "Adventures in Success"? If so, do you have the address, Spaz? I'd really like to look into that one.

Thanks, devildog. Seeing this album on CD is like a miracle akin to the parting of the Red Sea to me. Perhaps all recordings aren't lost, after all.
