Disco 3 is an awesome sampling of the great songwriting capability as well as some of the awesome dancable numbers the duo offers.

Count me in among the Pet Shop Boys fans.

West End Girls was the song that originally got my attention, like so many other people.

I've been listening to Heart a lot lately. I seem to go through phases where one of their songs will fit with something going on in my life and I'll listen to it over and over and over and over ... Heart seems to fit in right now.

You're in love? How SWEET! Hon, the Disco mix of Heart is so good, it's yummy. Are you on the Hub? If not, get on and grab it from my folder.

They do a great version of "Somewhere", the West Side Story song more recently known from the TIAA CREF TV comericials. You know... "there's a place for us, somewhere, a place for us"

I've never heard the disco mix!

What is this hub I keep reading about? I've gathered that it's a way to share music--I have lots to share (not all new wave. I like a bunch of other stuff, too). Tell me more! [8D]

Funny thing about the Pet Shop Boys - I rarely think of them when it comes to favorite songs or acts - but then I look at thier discograpahy & think "man, that's a great song, oh I love that one, etc. etc."

I love What Have I Done to Deserve This, Always on my Mind & Suburbia. As for the more recent things - I like In Denial an awful lot.

Does the commercial use the symphonic PSB remake of the Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim classic of great fortitude and emotional depth?!?!?! I MUST SEE THIS COMMERCIAL!!!!!

I saw them live in 2001 (or was it 2002) at the Universal Amphitheatre. Who knew these guys would kick so much arse live? The heavy bass cleared my sinuses too[8D] Erasure doesn't come close to the energy level of The Pet Shop Boys live. Highly recommended if they come to your part of town. They do a bit of medley which, to my surprise, comes off quite good (I usually don't like those).
