Nu-Wave on Long Island on Saturday Nights

Postby Rob » Mon Aug 23, 2004 10:27 am

Hi Everybody ~ Want to let all you fans of 70's Punk and 80's Nu-Wave music that we are doing Saturday Nights at a bar called Saints and Sinners in Smithtown on Long Island. It's a cool place with a small dance floor and a great sound system. We have been doing Saturdays for about two months now and every week has been getting better and better! For all of you who used to hang out at the great clubs of the 80's and 90's on Long Island. I used to dj at Thrush, Spize and Malibu as well as many other clubs through out the years. Lately I have been dj-ing mostly in the city but have returned to Long Island to dj on Saturday nights at Saints and Sinners.
The music I play covers a wide spectrum from the days of before I was a dj hanging out at the greatest clubs like Legz, Spit and Paris NY ~ {70's punk ~ 80's nu-wave, Rock-a-Billy and Ska} ~ Ramones, Clash, Buzzcocks, Blondie, Sex Pistols, Stray Cats, The Cramps and lots more. Also I play the great music of the days of when I dj-ed at Thrush, Spize and Malibu. ~ Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Gang Of Four, Joy Division, Echo and The Bunnymen, The Jam, Depeche Mode, Ministry, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Violent Femmes, New Order, Yaz, The Cure, The Smiths. Also play some of the newer music ~ Apoptygma Berzerk, Wolfsheim.
So if you want to come out and hear some good music, and or dance. Doors open at at 10pm and it's 21 and over to get in. The cover is only $5 for guys and $2 for girls.
Saints and Sinners is located at the corner of Rte. 347 and Rte. 111 ~ between the Hess gas station and Dunkin Donuts.
