"I May Hate You Sometimes" on Failure by The Posies.
I could never figure out why these guys, Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow, weren't HUGE. So young, such smart lyrics, great singers (especially Ken) and amazing musicians (Jon could do it all).
Maybe they got overlooked because they didn't sound grungy enough, which wasn't what they were anyway.

Love them. Seen them many times over the years here in Seattle. I remember seeing them play before Soundgarden at Bumbershoot one year. The crowd was obviously more anxious to see Soundgarden, so Jon played some awsome freakin' improvised guitar solo's t

I agree... possibly the most over looked band in the history of music!! I just got Ken Stringfellow's new solo release, "Soft Commands"... it's a bit different, but still a great album. It's more piano oriented, than guitar.

If you like the Posies then you must check out (If you haven't already) The Orange Humble Band. Ken Stringfellow is the lead singer. Their releases never made it to the U.S. so they can be hard to find and expensive.
