As a fellow New Waver, I stronly suggest Trance. Here's a few names to keep in mind. These guys know what they are doing and the music is just spectacular. Don't get fooled by the Trance that your teenager or grade school student is listening to.

I listen to a lot of House music. Deep House... check out artists such as... Miguel Migs, Andy Caldwell, Swirl People, Kaskade, Greenskeepers Music, etc....
Look for labels such as Naked Music, OM, Defected, Large
