Hi,

Does anyone here remember Strange Advance, I have never heard of them until recently. I found an old tape of mine from the MTV A-Z marathon back in 2000 I'm guessing, and found this one video on there called "She Controls Me" by Strange Advance. I really like this song a whole hell of a lot.. So I just won the CD off ebay, can anyone here give me a heads up on this band, I'm just buying mainly to have "She Controls Me" on disc.

Canadian band, their big hits were "We Run" and "Worlds Away".

Which CD did you get off Ebay? I have a compilation of theirs...I think they only had two or three albums. I like "Hold on to the Nite" and "Kiss in the Dark" but "She Controls Me" is definitely their best song IMO. I looked through the liner notes and

Some of their CD's are still available. CD Universe regularly sells Strange Advance -2wo, and Worlds Away is a bit harder to come by. The Distance between may still be on half.com

There is also a CD compilation called 'Over 60 minutes with'

I bought "Worlds Away & Back" with many demo's and extended mixes, so I am really looking forward into hearing for than just "She Controls Me" but I think it will be pretty hard to beat

I've been getting into Strange Advance lately as well. It's really amazing that after all this time, we can still find decent bands to get more involved with. Another Canadian band (I think) that I've been scrounging up good stuff from lately is Classix N
