Danielle Dax or Nina Hagen

I'd pick Danielle. Truly original with an amazing voice and a knack for making wonderful melodies with the use of household items. Nina is way over the top and released one difficultly brilliant album NunSexMonkRock. She then tapped into the dance funk thing and got lost, though her undeniable bizarreness keeps her from ever being a mainstream diva. I love to watch her insanity. She's quite a character.

I'll go with Nina Hagen. While I like Danielle Dax, I was never a really huge fan. Nina, on the other hand, really caught my interest when I was about 13 or 14 and picked up "nunsexmonkrock" on vinyl. I had never heard any of her music before but had read
