I made a similarly-themed compilation a while ago titled, "Mellow Alternatives" (lame title, I know) but here's what I put on it, in addition to some songs already mentioned:

Trouble Me - 10,000 Maniacs
Fall Down at Your Feet - Crowded House

Wow, that got there quick. Glad you're enjoying. But really, stop making me look like a giant suck-up...despite this group being amongst the very few groups of people out there that I'd suck up to. Also, DON'T try the strip-o-gram with anyone around there

Okay, seriously, does anyone who likes "new wave" refer to ANYTHING that they listened to back in the '80s as a "slow jam"? I can't think of a single instance where I have ever used the term "slow jam" to describe ANY kind of music I have ever listented t

Great! And yeah, I think the Cure's More Than This is a damned sexy song. Kinda off topic, but I bet it would make a good "evening" mix combined with some of these:

Kingdom of Rain - The The w/ Sinead
Fascination Street - The Cure
How Soon Is Now? -
