Top KROQ and 91X bands of all time

Postby martinrhl » Fri Feb 11, 2005 8:33 am

I have a website with the yearend top song countdowns from new wave/alternative radio stations KROQ, 91X and Q101 called www.radiohitlist.com (I've posted about it before). I thought it would be interesting to go through the lists for each station and rank the bands by the total number of songs they have in all of the lists (KROQ from 1980-2004, 91X from 1983-2004). Some of the 80s stalwarts are near the top--Depeche Mode, the Cure et al. A few surprises here and there--it's quite a bit different from when they ask listeners to rank them. Check it out at:

I love stuff like this! Great job Martin. I dig through the list and find the 91X much more palatable than KROQ's, who got pretty annoying in the 90s. Evidence: New Order's position in the two lists.
