Being a die hard fan of New Wave and 80's music, I've always found it difficult to locate a source for the "progressive music" I enjoy.I subscribed to XM radio and was fairly pleased with Fred ( the New wave era station). My tastes were much more eclectic than Fred could offer though. I then discovered Yahoo's Launchcast. I was able to program the artists I liked, with so many of the more obscure bands that I would never hear on XM. The station I've created isn't limited to just 80's New Wave, it also features traditional progressive music,some classic blues along with the FEW newer bands that are actually making decent music. If you are in that category that began listening to early Yes & Genesis and progressed to Echo & The Bunnymen and The Jam and tried to keep in touch by listening to Kitchens Of Distinction & The Trash Can Sinatras then you may want to check out my station. It's free to test but it's really worth the small yearly fee to create a station that plays all your favorites. And it actually does a really good job in finding stuff that I've not heard before.
