Bill Nelson (solo) did Das Kabinette. I believe it was for a production of the very old movie. I got a copy of it inside another Bill Nelson solo which for the life of me I can't remember at this time of the morning.

Max is right.Das Kabinett (The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari) was written and recorded as the score for a stage presentation by the Yorkshire Actors Company. Released on Nelson's own label, the record consists of eighteen instrumental pieces, each designed to accompany a particular scene in the story. Although musically stunning, it's a hard concept for rock fans used to song structure (and words) to grasp.

After Be-Bop Deluxe's first album, the line-up stabilized and the band was Bill Nelson (gtr, voc), Andy Clarke (keys), Charlie Tumahai (bass, and the first Maori member of a major-label band), and Simon Fox (drums). While Nelson was definitely the leader, it was a real band. I even saw them live at the Syracuse War Memorial on their final US tour in 1978, opening for Blue Oyster Cult.
