New Wave Survivor-Idol: 2nd Cut - Vote Again!

Postby scramjet » Mon May 02, 2005 9:53 am

Adam Ant and The B-52's - You're fired! These artists got the most votes and the most antipathy in the comments.

Vote again to oust your least favorite out of the bands remaining on the island (to mix reality show metaphors).

You can review the first round here:
http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5702

and the second round here:

Thanks for voting.

it pains me to do this but…

Goodbye Bono. Goodbye Edge. Goodbye Adam and hunky boy Larry.

It's not that I don't love your early stuff. It's just… well, when it comes to new wave, it's just not working out between us.

It's not you. It's me. Really

Nooooooooooooooooooooo! (Jumping on grenade to save Bono)

I picked Duran Duran. They were nothing more than a new wave boy band.

But from here on out, it gets very, very tough for me.

kimiiii expressed my thoughts well on this one. I'm surprised to see Depeche Mode leading the pack. I thought they were universally revered.

I'm still voting for DM. In the 80's they were one of my faves, but now I just seem to pass over their tunes. Besides, I'm discovering obscure bands on this site continuously that require much listening.

I chose Devo. It was a toss up between them and Human League. I have to admit that I was not really a huge Devo fan.

I'm just going to keep voting for The Smiths until I am forced to vote otherwise (although you people aren't giving me much hope that will even happen).

My vote is, again, for The Cure because even if "Boys Don't Cry" they sure to whine alot.

it's hard to choose between 2 of the worst bands ever, but i surely hate duran duran more than human league.
